Spring Break 2013

We went to Zion's National Park for Spring Break this year.  It was so beautiful!  The weather was perfect for hiking.  We also spent some time in St. George and saw the temple and the tabernacle, went hiking at the red rocks and enjoyed swimming at a few Rec Centers.

April Update

We took a family picture with our tripod... this one had the best smiles,

Hannah and Eli had a Spring piano recital.
Hannah played Flaming Tambourine and Eli played Brave Warrior.

 Eli and Hannah both won their class spelling bees.  Eli got third place in the 2nd grade bee and Hannah got third place in the 4th grade bee.
They both studied hard and did great :)

Eli and Winter Basketball

Eli played basketball this year with a bunch of friends from our ward.  It was a lot of fun knowing everyone on the team.  He did a great job and had a lot of fun.  Eli enjoyed the games (and the treats after)!  He said that his favorite thing about playing basketball this year was "how my friends were there."  He also liked the pizza party and awards ceremony at the end when he got a certificate and trophy.

Happy 10th Birthday Hannah!

Our Hannah is 10!  She had an awesome birthday party to celebrate.

She designed her own birthday cake and mom made it just like she wanted.

The girls decorated treasure boxes and painted rings.

The girls played spin the nail polish bottle.

Happy birthday!  We're so glad that you had such a fun day :)

Weekend in Ogden

We headed down to Ogden in January for Brady's cousin's wedding reception.  We are so excited for Jami. She looked beautiful and was glowing.  Her reception was very glamorous!

We stayed in a hotel that night.  This is so fun for the kids.  We went swimming (twice) and had fun having grandma, Vicki, and Bruce and Becca's family there too.

The next day we went to the Children's Museum in Ogden.

There were some dress ups. 

 I think Jonas was some sort of super hero from the past.

Lots of fun things to do!  Hannah and Eli tried to play a chess game with the big pieces, but it didn't last too long because other kids kept coming and messing it up.  When they milked the cow, it was funny because water came out when they did it right.  To end off the day, the kids rode fake horses and a bull (and Jonas dressed up like a rodeo clown).  Good times!

Geography Bee

Hannah won her class geography bee a few weeks ago and got to move on to the school geography bee.  One student from each 4th, 5th and 6th grade class in the school participated.  Hannah did great.  She got second place!

New Year's Eve

I love celebrating holidays with my kids!  We made hats and had a party. 

 We watched Despicable Me and counted down to 9:00... good times.
